Our Background & Philosophy
Nantwich freestyle kickboxing academy is a new freestyle kickboxing club born in the summer of 2019. Ran by 4th dan sensei Dyce Clarke the club was opened to give students a chance to develop self confidence and a strong and healthy lifestyle through kickboxing at the same time as learning self protection. From a young age students develop key life skills such as listening and concentration skills as well as anti bullying education. Members of our club feel a friendly and warm atmosphere as well as a continual educational syllabus which enables the students to take many paths within the arts from competing to teaching. There really is something for everybody in freestyle kickboxing at NFKA

Nantwich freestyle kickboxing academy Instructor news letter
July, 2020
As we move into July and the lockdown moves forward at an unpredictable rate it has left a lot of confusion in all our lives as to what can and cannot be done. We have decided to hold our classes in the long George’s playing field in Crewe. We have held classes on there the past 2 weeks when the weather has been good and the students have been quite flexible in attending class to get the classes in each week. The training has been good and it’s been quite easy to keep social distancing measures in place and keep all students as safe as possible. With things constantly changing at the moment we are able to accommodate 10 students per class. We have spaces available and as of July will start to re introduce new members to the classes again. It’s been a long rough ride but I want to thank all the students for your commitment through lockdown to training and belief in NFKA. I look forward to the clubs growth and future

10 Essential Tips for Beginners
February 4, 2025
10 essential tips to help new students get the best out of their time in our classes.
1. Be patient, it’s not easy. It’s a sport with rules and has a lot of things to learn
2. Il train when I get fitter??You will get fit training setting small realistic goals and increasing them as you achieve including fitness.
3. Attend classKeep up regular training. Missing classes has a harder impact on loosing it than gaining it from training. It’s a lot harder to come back than stick at the tough days.
4. Stretch at homeTry to find time each day to do as much stretching as possible. This will greatly ease the ability to do kicks and movement drills.
